Description

Inkra is a native Markdown editor for macOS — not an Electron app, but real Mac performance with SwiftUI and AppKit. Write in Markdown with real-time syntax highlighting based on TextKit 2 and AST parsing. The live preview renders KaTeX formulas, Mermaid diagrams and code highlighting in real time. Focus mode and wide mode help with concentrated writing. The built-in AI assistant supports writing tasks: proofreading, shortening, expanding and translating. Choose between Claude, OpenAI, Ollama (local) or Inkra KI — the dedicated AI endpoint that works without a personal API key. The sidebar offers file tree, document outline and file history with grouped time sections. Session restore recovers folder, file, cursor and scroll position on launch. Export to HTML and PDF with full layout — formulas, diagrams and code blocks are exported correctly. For advanced users: MCP server and REST API with Swagger UI enable control by AI assistants like Claude Code. Fully localized in 23 languages. Available on the Mac App Store and as direct download.
