Accessibility Declaration

Juergen Koller Software GmbH strives to align its web store store.juergenkoller.software with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA and EN 301 549. This is voluntary: as a micro-enterprise, the company falls under the exemption for services in Section 3 (3) of the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG). The requirements of the BFSG and the BFSG Regulation (BFSGV) nevertheless serve as our benchmark.

This accessibility statement applies to the web store store.juergenkoller.software including the English section under /en/. The company website is covered by the statement on juergenkoller.software.

Conformance Status

This web store is largely compliant with the following standards:

• WCAG 2.1 Level AA (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines)
• EN 301 549 (European Standard for Accessibility)

"Largely compliant" means: the automated and manual checks described below found no open violations. Some criteria have not yet been verified with every method (see "Known limitations").

Known limitations

• Stripe payment page: Payment is processed on a page operated by the payment provider Stripe. Its accessibility is outside our control and not part of our checks.
• Stripe invoices: Invoices and receipts are generated by Stripe as PDF files. To our knowledge these documents are not tagged according to PDF/UA. On request we provide the content of an invoice in an accessible format.
• Account Portal: Login and registration are handled by the central account portal at account.juergenkoller.software. Its start page is included in our automated check; a complete review of the portal is still pending.
• Testing with real assistive technology: On 12 October 2026 we reviewed the home page and a product page with VoiceOver (Safari, macOS 26): the consent dialog, navigation, menus, product cards, forms and footer are announced with name, role and state; the minor issues found (English landmark names, screenshot tiles without button role) have been fixed. The remaining pages have so far been verified via the accessibility tree (dialog semantics, landmarks, names and roles). A review with NVDA and by users of assistive technologies is still pending.

Preparation of this Accessibility Statement

This statement was created on 1 October 2025 and last reviewed and updated on 12 October 2026.

The assessment is based on a self-evaluation and the automated and manual checks listed under "Assessment methods" (WCAG 2.1 Level AA, EN 301 549 v3.2.1).

The update of EN 301 549 to version 4.1.1 (with WCAG 2.2) is expected during 2026 and will be taken into account when it enters into force. The target size of controls according to WCAG 2.2 (SC 2.5.8) is already being checked today.

The accessibility of this web store relies on the following technologies:

Tested browser engines: Chromium, Firefox (Gecko), WebKit and Mobile Chrome, automated with Playwright.

Tested assistive technologies: VoiceOver (Safari 26, macOS 26) on 12 October 2026 on the home page and the PDF Content Search product page: consent dialog via keyboard, tab order and the complete reading order of all elements. In addition, evaluations of the accessibility tree (roles, names, states, dialog semantics) on all pages. A review with NVDA or by users of assistive technologies is still pending.

Assessment Methods

Accessibility is verified by:

• Automated rule checks with axe-core (WCAG 2.1 AA and 2.2 AA) after every deployment against the running store. The page list is generated from the sitemap and the customer pages (cart, checkout, account, cancellation, withdrawal); an unreachable page fails the check. The consent dialog is operated during the check, not hidden.
• Lighthouse accessibility audit on the start, product, cart and login pages (minimum score 95 out of 100, blocking).
• Keyboard checks with Playwright: consent dialog (focus, focus trap, Escape, decision by keyboard), skip link, visible focus indicators during a tab walk, mobile menu (dialog, Escape, focus return), error identification in the cancellation form.
• Measurement of target sizes (at least 24 × 24 px, WCAG 2.2 SC 2.5.8) on the rendered document.
• Reflow check at 320 px width without horizontal scrolling (WCAG 1.4.10).
• Check of the user manuals in PDF format with veraPDF (tagging, language, title).
• Check of prefers-reduced-motion (animations are reduced).

Planned tests: Screen reader review with NVDA and by users of assistive technologies; VoiceOver review on further pages (cart, checkout, customer account) in the six-monthly cycle.

Juergen Koller Software GmbH is committed to continuously improving the accessibility of this web store and maintaining WCAG 2.1 Level AA, regardless of the fact that the BFSG is not binding for the company as a micro-enterprise.

We review this statement at least every six months and report on progress in implementing accessibility.
